I grew up in the Philadelphia area and began drawing seriously in 1997. My primary inspiration for drawing was my grandmother, who loved to do small sketches and watercolors. I remember finding her old sketchbooks and paintings and adoring them.

I continued to work in traditional mediums throughout high school and college, enrolling in figure drawing workshops at the Moore College of Art in 1999, 2000, and 2001. I graduated from Temple University with a Bachelors of Art in Filmmaking and Media Design in 2005, with a minor in Art History. In 2003, I purchased my first tablet: a Wacom Intuos 3 and began painting digitally instead of in oils to help with my budget; largely because all of my films in university were self-funded. Since then, I have developed a great enjoyment from digital painting and illustration, and now include many drawings in my commercial work as well, including web designs, advertisements, book covers, and print products.

I also continue to work traditionally in oils, watercolors, pencils, colored pencils, ink, markers, charcoal and conte.

I have a little sister, who is my evil counterpart (hahaha, okay, maybe not!), and she and I are very close. We currently live together in a flat near Philadelphia. I am divorced, with no children, and currently am employed as a freelance designer. I also work for deviantART.com as a creative staff member.

Aside from my passion to produce art... I like rainstorms, altoids, colorful buttons, shoes (!), singing, giggling, organic food, a good movie, coffee in the morning, and snuggling up and reading at night. I'm also into skydiving, hiking, ice skating, and dancing my butt off! I enjoy traveling as well! I spent a year in France during University. I have also visited cities across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

I also have done 7 murals, four for commission in private residences, and three as a volunteer with the Philadelphia Mural Arts Association.

I am a serious working professional who believes that fun and good humor is not mutually exclusive to sucess and powerful results. I am a lifelong student, always striving to push myself to the next level. Art is a passion and a way of life for me!
